Apologies for the infrequent posts these days. About the same time that I was looking at the blogging stuff that I mentioned earlier in the month, I discovered that I was living really close to one of the bright new Stars of Internet Marketing, Alex Jeffreys.

Alex has been earmarked as a man to watch by no less an authority than Mike Filsaime. So when I recently got the chance to study and work with Alex, I jumped on it and since then I have been spending nearly all my time learning how he “does” internet marketing.

This has already seen a change in the way that I am doing business on the net and there will be others in the weeks ahead.

Meantime, we have gone right back to basics, and of course one of the fundamental principles of marketing is that (come on everybody, altogether now) …

The Money is in the List !

Right ! Now Alex is a complete master at building his list. He went from zero to tens of thousands of names.

And when you consider that expert internet marketers reckon that each name on your list is worth approximately $1 a month, well … just do the math !

So let me ask you a question: … if Alex were to give his List Building Secrets to you, explaining how he built a list of tens of thousands of people from zero to the point where he averages $1 a month per name on the list … and you can have that at ZERO COST … would you want a copy ?

If the answer is “Yes !”, then click here.

Hope that you enjoy it !

PS: I nearly forgot ! You also get Master Resale Rights to this ebook … again, it will NOT cost you a penny. Just go here.

This is a little crazy, and unexpected … I should have known that something like this would happen ! Especially just after my last post.

Yaro Starak and Gideon Shalwick just sent me an urgent note to let you know they are very briefly opening up their powerful blogging coaching program again.

Why ?

Well, they said that they got HEAPS of people that missed out because of the Independence Day Holiday in the United States last week.

And they wanted to give you another opportunity to join their amazing program, along with all the other 420 students who’ve already signed up this time round. (And that includes me !)

If you missed out last week for whatever reason, this is your chance to get in.

They’re opening doors on Tuesday, July 7th at 2pm EST Daylight Savings Time, and they said they’ll shut the doors again 24 hours after that.

You can sign up here.

PS: Don’t forget that they’re only keeping doors open for 24 hours this time to give you the opportunity to sign up in case you missed out last week because of the holidays. So make sure you don’t miss out this time round, ok ?

Well, as noted in my last post, I did actually sign-up for the BecomeABlogger Premium course from Gideon Shalwick & Yaro Starak, so here are some reflections after spending a little time with it.

This seems to be a really excellent product. You can choose to pay month by month and gain access to the material on a week-by-week basis, or you can choose to pay more up front and get access to it all at once.

I chose the “all at once” path and was pleased to find that there are almost 60 video lessons here. Their scope takes you from knowing next to nothing about blogging, right up to multiple monetization techniques.

Video is the predominant medium here, but there are transcripts available as downloadable PDFs if you prefer that. You can also download the videos if that works better for you.

As to what they say, most importantly, Gideon & Yaro stress right from the outset the importance of creating not just high quality content, but also how to produce content that stands out by using “X factor” techiniques such as graphics, audio and video.

But before you get to that fancy stuff, straight out of the gates the guys get stuck in to the very basics of blogging. Fundamentally, they stress the importance of owning your own blog rather than taking the easier path of using Blogger or WordPress.com. They recommend the use of WordPress.org’s software to set up your blog on your own domain, and then they walk you through all the steps needed to do this.

In fact, on nearly all that I’ve watched so far, it’s the multimedia guy in the partnership, Gideon Shalwick, who does most of the presentation. Gideon has an excellent way of talking through and demonstrating technical concepts that should take the pain away from setting up a blog for all but the most rabid of technophobes.

He then goes on to talk about themes, plugins, RSS, Feedburner … the whole shmeer really. I have only got to the end of module 2 so far, but although I already know most of the basics that he’s talked about, I have still learned several valuable tips.

Although he may be more prominent later in the course, Yaro Starak’s biggest contribution seems to be in the bonuses. I’ve taken a quick peek at his 10 part Mastering The Mindset audio course and I like what I have seen of this so far.

There’s more here than I could absorb or review on just a couple of days, so I’ll say no more, especially since the doors are now closed. However, I will say that Yaro Starak has a similar product, Blog Mastermind, that is “always open”. There was actually an upsell for this on the back of the BecomeABlogger offer and I signed up for that too.

It seems more text & audio based rather than video and to be aimed at more experienced bloggers, but I have not had time to look at this too closely yet. Perhaps a more detailed review is a topic for another day !

QUICK UPDATE: I should point out that as an introduction to blogging, becomeablogger.com‘s free videos are definitley worth a look.

OK, things are slowly getting back to normal: I was going to start posting again next week, but I have just spotted something which is about finish and so I wanted to post about it ASAP.

A few weeks ago, I came across a video on Clickbank’s blog (which is pretty good and any active internet marketer should track it).

It was by these guys I had never heard of called Gideon Shalwick and Yaro Starak. The video had a useful little tip on it and it pointed me in the direction of their site, becomeablogger.com.

Well, you know how it is on the internet … when you can lose yourself on one site for hours and think that only a few minutes have passed by ? Well, that’s how it was with becomeablogger.com ! There are a ton of excellent resources and their videos are outstanding. I added it to my reader straight away.

Well, to keep this short, the guys have re-opened their BecomeABlogger Premium training to the public.

Unfortunately, they are about to close it again ! I mean like in less than 5 hours ! At midnight EST, 3rd July 2009 !

So, if you want to learn about blogging properly, from guys who really know what they are talking about (like a 6 figure income !), go here NOW, before it’s too late !

I myself have signed up for this. I can’t recommend it any more highly than that !

This is more about a useful tool for internet marketing, something that I definitely want to talk about here as well as the nuts and bolts of “IM”.

Most days, I use Skype conferencing. Usually, the sound quality is very good, but this last few days, it’s been poor, especially today. Not only that, I got dropped out of the call twice, as did another participant. He got so fed up that he messaged us to say “So long guys, catch you next week !”. It got so frustrating that I started to wonder about alternatives …

I already have a sipgate account and I love it. Like most of these VOIP networks, calls from one sipgate customer to another are free, but I like it for non-peer-to-peer VOIP too: you can choose a regular number and you get some useful free features like voicemail and call redirection. If you want to call regular numbers, I think their charges are pretty good and if you have money in your account, you can also send SMS “text” messages too. But I think I’m right in saying that at the moment, they only operate from Germany, Austria and the UK.

Anyway, one thing that sipgate can’t handle is conference calls. So I started casting around for other services. My initial search has thrown up Gizmo5.

I found it through voip-news.com where it says that its roots are in Open Source. I’m not sure if it still is Open Source, but looking at the Gizmo5 web pages, I must say that I’m impressed by the range of facilities they have. A very quick skim through the features reveals

Free Gizmo-Gizmo calls & text messages (as you’d expect)

Voicemail

Group text chat

File exchange

Video calling

… and (most importantly from my point of view) …

Conference calls !

You can also record calls, though of course there may be a legal problem with this in some jurisdictions: your responsibility to check ! It even seems to have hooks in to Google Talk (text only I think) and Skype (via OpenSky, though you may have to pay depending – check here.) You can even

So I may suggest this to my group as a backup if Skype has a really bad day. OK, so it’s another client to download, but it may be worth it, so I just wondered if anybody “out there” used Gizmo and if so, how they found it ?

Today, Dave has launched a dinky little script called ExitSplash.

The easiest way to describe what it is and how it can work for you is to take a peek at the following video. (Thanks Dave ! Dave is extremely good at providing videos that explain what his products do, how to install them and how you can use them to increase your profits.)

OK, new game !

This blog has been neglected for w-a-y too long !

And it just so happens that this realization coincides with some really interesting events on the horizon !

If you’re at all interested in Internet Marketing, I hope that you’ve heard the name of Dave Guindon.

Dave is quite a guy. He’s actually an electrical engineer … he has qualifications up to wazoo ! But he also got in to Internet Marketing a few years ago and he found a really cool niche. Because he’s a bit of a tech-head, he has been able to develop some really useful utilities that make life easier (and more profitable) for internet marketers. Because he knows what internet marketers want, he’s able to just go out there and code it ! In my experience, he produces high-quality products at excellent prices.

The first one that I came across was CamStudioPro. This awesome product produces videos that will knock you out at a ridiculous price. I’m not sure whether this is still true, but at the time that he introduced CamStudioPro, it did most of what the market leader product did at about one tenth the price !

Are you in to eBay ? Check out Dave’s Feedback Analyzer Pro software. (Notice that the deal includes Master Resale Rights too.)

Anyway, this is all by way of giving you a heads-up that Dave is about to launch another of his little gems upon the world. From what I have seen from him, this is going to be something that serious internet marketers are going to look on as vital to their success. His beta test results look impressive to me.

The launch is really close, so watch this space and I’ll keep you posted.
